DESCRIPTION

Creates a process from an executable path.

SYNOPSIS

long spawnve(const char *path, char *const argv[], char *const envp[]);

RETURN VALUE

• Returns a non-negative result on success. Negative values are ABI errno codes.

ERRORS

• -E2BIG
  • The argument or environment vector exceeds its limit.
• -EFAULT
  • A path, vector, or string pointer is invalid.
• -EIO
  • The executable cannot be read completely.
• -ENOMEM
  • The image or process cannot be allocated.
• -ENOENT
  • The executable path does not exist.
• -ENOEXEC
  • The file is not a valid executable.
• -EAGAIN
  • The process registry is full.

ABI

Arguments enter through the direct syscall ABI; validation is performed before entering the process subsystem.
